Several Fen folk met up on a sunny March Saturday at Prior's Oven, Spalding, to share beer, chat, strange experiences, and unbelievable truths, with our Austendyke brewers and friends, Marie and Charlie.

The beers sampled, gravity fed of course straight from the barrel, included Long Lane (4%), Booster (4.6%) from Austendyke, and Jack Spitty (4%) from Colchester Brewery. All in excellent condition.

The pub was lively with chatter from locals and Camra members and the micro pub still found room for seating most visitors.

This was Fenland's first social event, other than our monthly pub walks, since the lockdown.

Thanks to Marie and Charlie, excellent hosts, for a most enjoyable afternoon with friends.
