Excellent weather for supping the 10 fine ales on offer at 8 Sail Brewery during the Threshing Week-end and especially to welcome Rolling Stone 4.3% launched as unique.

The beer has been brewed with locally grown Lincolnshire barley which has been malted at Bairds of Grantham and milled on a dedicated set of stones at the adjacent Heckington Windmill. The grain going towards producing a truly stoneground Pale Ale hopped with new hop varieties developed in England.

A special launch of the beer took place at the brewery and windmill by the Chairman of the Windmill Trust Charles Pinchbeck, beer sommelier Nigel Sadler, and 8 sail Brewery's Tony Pygott.

As well as the 6 beers from 8 Sail there were ales from Cumbria, Lanarkshire and Kircudbrightshire.
