We think this is a first for Fenland as one of our long standing (although sometimes not too steady) members has won a prize in a competition run by What's Brewing.

His prize winning entry came on the back of another competition he won in the Nottingham Drinker and the photo of him receiving his prize, a pint of mild (see right), was sent in to What's Brewing for the Make May a Mild Month photo competition. It took 6 months for the prize to arrive but was very welcome at this time of year as it was a polypin of Marvellous Maple Mild (3.7%) from the Brentwood Brewing Company. The recipient informs Fenland website that it will be opened shortly and a few Fen folk invited along for a tasting.
